Arden Jaguar XF AJ21

The new AJ21 receives a completely new front-end design with an enlarged radiator grill finished in stainless steel mesh as well as oversized air vents for cooling of the engine and braking system. The aerodynamic lift at the front axle is reduced with help of the lower lines of the new front spoiler, improving road-handling at higher speeds. Other features include integrated LED daytime running lights and new side sills with functional air inlets for improved cooling of the rear brakes. Up back is an aggressive diffuser melded into the rear bumper as well as a discrete decklid spoiler.
Arden offers performance modifications for all four engines offered by Jaguar in its XF saloon, from the 2.7L V6 diesel up to the supercharged 4.2L V8. The top of the line kit is based on the same supercharged 4.5L V8 from Arden’s previous AJ20 XKR. The engine uses a specially made crankshaft, along with new con rods and pistons to help achieve a 300cc increase in displacement over the standard motor and develops a peak output of 500hp and 640Nm of torque.
Other performance mods include a custom sports suspension set-up and light weight forged alloy wheels measuring 21 inches in diameter.
The interior can be fitted with a range of materials, from high-grade wood to carbon-fiber for the trim inserts, and a variety of upholstery choices in either leather or Alcantara are available to give the interior that extra touch.

Loder1899 Jaguar XF 2009

Loder1899’s new kit for the 2009 Jaguar XF manages to preserve the svelte lines of the original while also adding a sportier edge. Joining the new body alterations is a suspension lowering kit and power upgrade, designed specifically for the 2.7L turbodiesel model.
The body styling kit consists of a new front spoiler with a second row of intakes, a new rear spoiler and a more aggressive bumper with an integrated diffuser. The lowering kit sees the car ride up to 35mm lower than the stock version and is joined by a set of chunky 20in ‘Hollow Spoke’ alloy wheels with 255mm performance rubber.
The list of power mods include an ECU upgrade and stainless steel high-flow exhaust, which sees power in the turbodiesel XF move from 207 to 249hp at a low 2,000rpm. Maximum torque rises to 522Nm, up from 435Nm in the standard model. This is enough to accelerate the car from 0-100km/h in 7.6 seconds and see it reach a top speed of 229km/h.

Jaguar's History: 1992 Jaguar XJ220

It’s hard to imagine but not that long ago Jaguar laid claim to building the world’s fastest production car with its XJ220 supercar, which during the early 1990s was speed king until it was knocked off its throne by the McLaren F1. The car featured a turbocharged mid-mounted V6 developing 549hp (409kW) and was capable of reaching a top speed of 217mph (350km/h).
The idea of first building the car arose after a team of Jaguar enthusiasts envisaged developing a new supercar that could beat the Ferraris and Porsches of the time – most notably the F40 and 959 models. The design precis for the XJ220 was simple, create a lightweight two-seater with a powerful mid-mounted engine.
With the help of Tom Walkinshaw Racing, Jaguar rolled out a concept version of the car in 1988 and just three years later the final production version was launched. The car stayed in production at a purpose built factory at Bloxham near Oxford until it was finally discontinued in 1994. During its heyday, the XJ220 even spawned a custom Pininfarina version designed exclusively for the Sultan of Brunei.

Ford sells Jaguar & Land Rover to Tata

After months of speculation, leaked information and hearsay, Ford has finally confirmed it will sell its Jaguar and Land Rover operations to India’s Tata. The sale is expected to close by the end of the next quarter and still requires approval from several European regulatory bodies, but otherwise the deal is as good as done.
The total amount to be paid in cash by Tata for Jaguar and Land Rover upon closing will be approximately $2.3 billion. At closing, Ford will then contribute up to $600 million to the Jaguar Land Rover pension plans, which will leave the Blue Oval with about $1.7 billion once the dust settles.
As part of the deal, Ford will continue to supply Jaguar and Land Rover with powertrains, stampings and other vehicle components, in addition to several environmental and platform technologies. Ford has also committed to provide engineering support, including research and development, plus information technology, accounting and other services.
Speaking about today’s agreement, Tata boss Ratan Tata expressed his excitement surrounding the acquisition, while also confirming his company’s long-term commitment to both brands and a hands-off managerial approach. “We aim to support their growth, while holding true to our principles of allowing the management and employees to bring their experience and expertise to bear on the growth of the business,” Tata commented.
For consumers it means support for Jaguar and Land Rover’s current product plans, while providing both firms greater freedom to develop their own stand-alone capabilities in the future. The newly found financial backing of Tata also ensures Jaguar’s new model onslaught is almost guaranteed, meaning we can expect to see the new F-Type roadster, next-gen XJ and rumored XF variants all make it to production over the next couple of years.

2009 Jaguar lightweight XKR-S Coupe

Jaguar has lifted the covers off a new limited edition version of its XK coupe that will go on sale in Europe by the middle of the year. The new car is called the XKR-S and it rates as the fastest production XK to date thanks to a series of weight saving modifications and engine upgrades over the standard XKR on which it’s based.
Engineers have added a revised suspension set-up with new springs, dampers, anti-roll bar and a recalibrated Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATS) system to improve handling. The supercharged 4.2L all-aluminum V8 gets a recalibrated engine management system that enables the XKR-S to reach a top speed of 174mph, 19mph faster than the (electronically limited) regular XKR. Peak output remains at 420hp and 560Nm of torque, which is enough to see the new model sprint from 0-62mph in just 5.2 seconds.
Visual enhancements include a new front air-splitter and side sill-extensions, a revised rear spoiler and new bumper with an integrated diffuser. Rolling stock consists of 20in Vortex alloy wheels housing Alcon R Performance brakes with red monobloc six-piston callipers and 400mm brake discs.
Despite the performance connotations, the XKR-S still features plenty of luxury items such as full soft grain leather trim, piano black dashboard elements, and a revised instrument cluster calibrated to accommodate the car’s higher top speed. Developers have also added Jaguar’s 525W Premium Audio system but customers can also opt for a Bowers & Wilkins tuned system with speakers made out of Kevlar and aluminum.
